Picture Framing, Printing & Artwork Copying Service

At Portraits by Hart we have been framing our own award winning portraits for many years. All the picture frames we use are made here on the premises & we keep a wide range of picture mouldings in stock. If it’s a picture moulding we don’t have we can usually acquire it. We also have mount cutting facilities for both rectangular mounts & for oval & circular mounts.

We can frame your pictures too. Ranging from small photographs up to paintings & prints with a maximum overall size of 24” x 30”. We also have laminating facilities for items up to a maximum size of 24” x 30”.

We print all of our own portrait photographs & canvases on the premises too. If you have a special photograph you would like turned into a wonderful canvas wrap, we can do this for you. The printing process we have uses Epson K3 pigment inks which are vibrant, extremely colour fast & very resilient to fading. We also use the best quality printing papers & canvass materials made by Fuji. Many companies offer cheap printing services, however in order to do this they have to use cheap materials which means they are likely to fade more quickly. We think it’s worth paying a little bit more to have the best materials, vibrancy of colour & the knowledge that your pictures & artwork will look great for many years to come.

We also offer a copying service for artists. We have a growing number local artists who come to us on a regular basis to have there art work & paintings copied (please note, you must hold the copyright for the artwork for us to be able to copy it, the copyright almost always belongs to the original artist). This means once they have sold their original they still have a high quality digital file which can later be turned into giclee prints, canvasses & post cards. The copying we do is to a very high standard & is colour corrected.  We use NEC SpectraView colour calibrated monitors to do any colour corrections required. This is one of the best monitors on the market & this helps us to get results which are very accurate with colours very close to those of the original.
